Earlier this year Joy and Thomas drove down to Southern California to spend a few days at Disneyland, little did Joy know that Thomas planned to ask her to be his wife on that very trip. On a Wednesday afternoon in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle Thomas got down on one knee and Joy said yes. You can’t do something that amazing at Disneyland without a few people seeing ;] so these two became somewhat like celebrities around the park for the rest of the day with people and castmemebers who had seen the proposal congratulating them. Disneyland is so magical.

Because Disneyland held such a special part of their proposal story these two decided they wanted to make another 7-hour trek down from Northern California to have their engagement photographs done in the park… and maybe also to visit Cars Land, maybe. ;] We met a few weeks ago to wander Disneyland, laugh, get to know each other and capture a moment in their love story.

I kind of went overboard on pictures for this post… I’m going to blame the light, it was just too good!

SERIOUSLY!? This light is UNREAL!

We kind of monopolized Mickey’s car for a little too long and may have made a few kids wait an extra minute for their turn… but I think it was worth it.

We were getting ready to head to California Adventure later in the day after the castle had already been blocked off for fireworks… I was bummed at first because we couldn’t get close, but I have never gotten photos of anyone in front of the castle without any people. I’m kind of in love!

We headed to California Adventure to end the session, mostly to make a stop at Cars Land. It opened very recently and it was my first time seeing it. I am amazed. Disney really outdid themselves, the details are incredibly impressive and I can’t wait to go back!
