I say this about every couple, but I love these two. In the early stages of planning their wedding we got together for coffee one Saturday morning and after an hour of talking, sharing ideas and getting to know each other I walked away desperately wanting to be a part of their wedding day. Not because their ideas were out of this world incredible– even though they were! But because their smiles are big and genuine, their laughs are loud and infectious and their joy for life spreads to everyone they meet. I love Laura & Patrick!
Like I said, the idea behind their wedding was incredible. Neither Laura nor Patrick grew up in Los Angeles so the majority of their guests were going to be flying in from across the country to celebrate with them. To introduce their love of Los Angeles to their guests they partnered with Secret City Tours to plan a mini tour of their favorite LA spots between their ceremony and reception. It was INCREDIBLE!
I’m so excited to share their wedding with you… and if you head over to A Paper Proposal you can see even more!
Their day started at the Custom Hotel. They decided to do a first look before the ceremony so they could spend the entire day together. Love!Laura’s niece was one of my favorite people all day. She is the cutest! She was so excited to see Laura in her wedding dress, I just love this moment… probably because I imagine how special it would be if it were me and my nieces. ♥Their ceremony took place at the Sacred Heart Chapel at Loyola Marymount University. After the ceremony we made our way to tour buses and headed Downtown! We pulled out of the parking lot with Randy’s Donuts in hand. And a little while later we pulled in to our first stop: The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.Really, how many weddings have you been to where you get to kick around a football on the field of the Coliseum? Our next stop was 23rd Street Cafe, one of Laura & Patrick’s favorite spots. We went inside for a few portraits, while the restaurant staff passed out quesadillas to every guest. Between each stop John, from Secret City Tours, gave guests a history of Los Angeles. Our last stop was for churros on Olvera Street. Guests were able to get off the bus and explore while I snuck Laura & Patrick away for a few more portraits. And then, it was time to head back to LMU for the reception.
Laura & Patrick, you are the best! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! ♥
