Emely, Meleny & Lily: Palos Verdes Children’s Photographer

It feels like it’s been SO long since I posted a real blog post! I’m so excited to be back in action behind the camera! This year is starting to fill up and I am so so excited for all the sessions I have coming up and I can’t wait to share them here:D

Several years ago I posted a blog about friendships, and when I was shooting this session that post came to mind. In case you didn’t click the link, it’s all about how important friendships are, especially to women, and how taking the time to document friendships is important. As you scroll down you’ll see why this session made me think of that post, while the girls in my previous post may be older the story is just the same.

Emely, Meleny & Lily are 3 best friends.

I love that what started as a family session with Emely, Meleny and their amazing mom Elizabeth eventually turned in to “But, Lily has to come too!” Even at 4 years old the ties of friendship are strong. I love it. ♥ We met this past Saturday for their session and we adventured through a Palos Verdes hiking trail. It was an afternoon of adventuring, collecting sticks and rocks, gorgeous light, and reaching for a grown up’s hand–just in case the trail got a little too hard. My heart left very full. :]

Eventually the mommies were able to jump in for a few photos ;]

Someone left this comment on the preview photo I posted on my facebook page: I love this picture! Liz, in about 10-15 yrs take a picture of them just like that… I am sure they will be friends forever, like their mommies! Isn’t that and overwhelming reminder of how important photography is? When these little ones are 14… or 19 they’ll have these images to hold on to. :’]
