A few months ago William came in to the library and he was standing in front of the counter talking to me about some teenage thing, probably his iPod, and I was struck by how much he’d grown in the last 2 years. 2 years ago, when I took the Messner family photos in Redondo Beach he was just a little kid, and now he’s a young man. It’s weird how that just sneaks up on you.
This year the Messner family decided to change things up a bit and instead of the beach we went to Downtown LA, but not just Downtown LA, a gorgeous loft with a beautiful view of the LA skyline and a pretty epic helicopter pad. Not that we snuck up there for photos or anything… because we totally didn’t. ;]
These kids, they’re so intimidated by the camera ;]
