This wedding was absolutely lovely. I can’t think of a better word to describe it, it was elegant in so many ways. I *loved* it. Many thanks to Phoebe for having me along as her 2nd shooter.
I started the day hanging out with Ryan & his groomsmen. While they got ready we double checked the wedding timeline so they knew where they needed to be and when. During the hour or so I was with them one of Ryan’s groomsmen dubbed me part Photographer and part Moral Supporter. Apparently in times that can potentially stressful I attempt to be encouraging. hahah!
The “getting ready” time, ceremony, and reception were all held at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel and it is GORGEOUS there. Their courtyard area is just one block from the sand and from your room you have an amazing view of the ocean/Santa Monica Pier.
Joyce was a STUNNING bride.

Ryan’s father performed the ceremony. I love when family is involved, I it makes it that much more special :]
While their guests headed to the reception area Joyce & Ryan went down to the beach for their own photographs.
When we got to the beach, the whole wedding party were quite the stars. Everyone wanted to photograph them.
