Sometimes I think I bring rain to southern California. The weather forecast is the usual 70° and sunny and then I schedule a photo shoot and the skies open up and pour. I probably shouldn’t advertise this fact on my blog… hahaha. I supposed I’m exaggerating a little, but sometimes it seems like this is the case.
That’s what happened this last Sunday when I met up with my photographer friend Kristin for a bridal shoot with models, Katie & Keith. An hour before I was supposed to leave for Monrovia I stood in the lobby at church and stared out into a parking lot that was being pelted with pouring rain. I swear it was like a movie moment, I stood and watched as the rain came and crushed all my dreams. [wow! I'm dramatic this morning!]
But, the show must go on.
By the time I got to Monrovia the rain had lightened up and when we started shooting it was good to us and stopped completely. But we did have to make an executive decision at the end to just call it quits because everyone was nearly soaking.
Despite the rain this shoot was so incredibly fun. The little downtown area of Monrovia was *adorable* and I’m dying to go back. Many thanks to Kristin who organized everything and who found the great spot for the shoot. Thank you, Katie & Keith for being such great sports in the rain! And lots and lots of love and thanks to my amazing friends Susanna, Cassandra, & Denise, thanks for tagging along with me! Driving in the rain, attempting to go to Dodgers Stadium, laughing till I cried, all of that is more fun when I’m with you. ♥
And I’ll stop rambling now so you can get to the pictures ;]
My amazing friend Denise did Katie’s makeup for the shoot. You should contact her! She’s *fantastic*!

LOOOOOVE this one!
Alexis, my friend from Dreams of Eden, made the hairpiece for our shoot.
Check out her facebook page and get in contact with her! She makes amazing jewelry and all kinds of fun stuff for hair!

A huge thank you to Kristin’s mom who made the bouquet for the shoot, it was SO gorgeous!
