Sunday Afternoon: just for fun

I believe it was in 5th grade when I read Anne of Green Gables and decided I wanted to be a redhead. It wasn’t until around 11th grade that I actually went all out and dyed my whole head red. In the last 6 years I’ve had basically every color between bright orange and bright...

Hi Stacee,

I just love reading how other photographers – in approaching the SMUG meetings – were going through the same feelings as me. (but mine was the previous meeting) I'm so glad you went to the shootout the other day and I got to meet you. It's fun when you see people you've read about online. Your photos of your friends are great. I know how sometimes actually photographing friends is harder than strangers. They sometimes can get stiff, you might be worried about what they think of the experience, etc. You really captured how they're your friends – getting them to relax in front of the camera is such a learned skill that is so important to us – you've got it. I look forward to seeing you again.

[...] Monday, October 24, 2011 7:38 am Posted in personal I’ve shared a few times about how nervous I get when I go to meet ups with other photographers. This shouldn’t be news to anyone. Really, everyone should just be [...]

Remembering Summers Begining at Summers End

This summer has been an interesting one and a memorable one for many reasons. I traveled out of the country for the first time, started to really take my business seriously, looked forward to movie nights probably more than anyone ever has [yes, in the history of the universe haha], made a few new friends...

Portraits in the Park: anytime

Today I filled out this cheesy Facebook Survey where you take titles of songs from one band and answer a bunch of questions. I choose Five Iron Frenzy my old favorite band ever, who I sadly have not listened to in a loooong time! So I have spent the last few hours playing all of...

Vilma & Gabe: engagement

I’ve had a really amazing week! On Sunday I discovered a new hobby and I’ve basically become addicted. It’s called GeoCaching you go online and get coordinates that you plug into your GPS, you go where your GPS tells you to go and use clues in the title [and if you don't have a fully...

I just watched the season opener of Psyche and it took place in Whistler! They were trying to catch an art theif. It was really funny and totally random because usually the show is in Santa Barbara, but the guys went on a vacation to Whistler and just stumbled upon the crime. hahaha Anyway, I thought of you the whole time I watched it!
