IMAGINE: an intern program by jamie delaine

personal

I’m a blog stalker…. I read muuultiple blogs every day [except the last 8 days I’m *so* behind! LOL] One particular morning I was checking my daily blog reads and came across an internship program. I checked out the website… everyday. Over and over and over. I knew I wanted to apply but I was soooooo scared! Finally I was just like “Ok, God, I’m going to apply.. and I’m probably not going to get accepted. And that’s ok because I can’t afford it anyway.” Then I told myself, “You will actually apply… but you’re not going to get accepted.” [Now, sitting in Jamie’s basement, remembering this conversation with God is kinda hilarious hahaha]

Needless to say, I applied.

A few weeks later on a Friday morning I was checking my email at work when I stumbled across an acceptance message from Miss. Jamie Delaine herself. I was basically in shock. A few of my co-workers can attest to that. ;] and I honestly tried to make a list of all the reasons I couldn’t go to BC for this internship because I was so nervous about spending a week with this amazing lady AND actually taking a real step toward my dream. Stupid me. I know. But God really had a plan for me to be in Surrey, BC this week and really provided for me to come in ways I never thought were possible!

Anyway, that’s a little back story. 😀 This last week has been a.m.a.z.i.n.g! And there will be all kinds of blog posts to come on my adventures in British Columbia. But here’s just a few pictures from one of the first days we were here. We spent an afternoon in Vancouver [but not just any afternoon… the hottest day of the summer so far! fail!].

at one of the MANY coffee shops I’ve been to this week

Before you see this last photo, let me do a little introducing. 😀 First we have Miss Marissa, the other American in the internship. [They say it like its such an insult..gosh! LOL jk jk] She is so sweet! She handed me a kleenex when she was sitting next to me watching My Sister’s Keeper the night we both flew in AND she is now offically addicted to The Office. We watched 2 full seasons while we were here! Then there’s our fearless leader Jamie Delaine [it doesnt rhyme! haha!] Let me tell you… she is fearless. Get out of bed! Spit out your gum! We’re making a video! all she did was yell yell yell all week ;] and oddly enough we all listened. LOL. But really, she’s a total sweetheart. And I’m so glad and thankful she opened up her home and took the time to teach us. Next is Miss Heather, She lives in Vancouver and is anti hugs just like me! [or just like i used to be? I seem to be letting more and more people hug me lately… anyway..] She’s also the only other Harry Potter fan in our small group, I’m so glad I had an ally! LOL. We had to say goodbye tonight since she’s going to back to work tomorrow.. It was so sad :[ I had a better time here than I ever thought I would. So to my fellow interns and our wonderful teacher, I’m going to miss you! <3

Hi Stacee — I love your new blog – it's beautiful. HOW in the world were you able to put up a header like that. I've been trying to do that for ages. Is it easy??

Thanks!! It can be your first FAQ! I can make one…I guess I just don't know the dimensions and how to put the drop down menu stuff.
